Is it possible to automate an account deletion after it's been in the 'suspended' status? I'd like to reclaim a license without having to interact with the admin interface
Yes, you can use the /2/team/members/remove Dropbox Business API endpoint to delete an account and free up a license:
https://www.dropbox.com/developers/documentation/http/teams#team-members-remove
By the way, that's a link to the documentation for the HTTPS endpoints themselves, but we recommend using one of the official SDKs if possible:
https://www.dropbox.com/developers/documentation
Those have corresponding native methods for the HTTPS endpoints.
Hope this helps!
Hey there @KomperdaJ82 - welcome to our Community!
From what I understand, you're the Admin of a Dropbox for Business Teams account and you'd like to automate the process of a suspended member's deletion so as not to have to go through the Admin's Console to free up the license - correct me if I'm wrong please.
Would you like to automate the process by utilizing our API perhaps? If so, please let me know and I'll forward this to the right section of our Community for you asap.
Thanks!
PS: For now, as you know, should you need to reduce the number of licenses on your team, you can delete the suspended user's account through your Admin's Console. Once the account is deleted, you can choose to transfer that account to someone else on your team or remove (delete) the license.

That's exactt what i'm looking for actually! thanks
Thanks for clarifying this @KomperdaJ82 - I appreciate it.
I have just moved your post under the API Support Feedback section of our Community so the right people can get to your inquiry right away while there might be other same-minded users here that could pitch in on how you should go about doing this - automating the deletion of suspended members from a team account that is to free up their licenses.
I hope this is helpful to you and I'm wishing you a great rest of your day!
