Re: March 2019 device limit policy

I just reformatted and instlled fresh on my PC. Now i have the dilema of that I only have 3 devices linked (laptop, desktop, server), but its saying I have 17 linked and wont let me relink the very same computer. I checked and its saying all the other times Ive formatted and installed that all the different names its ive used for each item is still linked. So ive tried to unlink them, but there is no provision to highlight and unlink them. How do i do it?

Have you tried doing it by clicking the "X" next to them while on your account's security page @Raddles ?

simply go to https://www.dropbox.com/account/security  and theres a list of all devices.  You can delete them there.  Very simple

Good job [profanity removed by moderation] on your user base, Dropbox.  Like others here I would have been willing to pay a small yearly fee to keep the service I had - unlimited devices and 22 GB space (after maxing out referrals for what was once a great service), but this move just stinks of greed and disrespect for their long-time customers.  Also like others, I already pay Microsoft for an Office 365 subscription, which includes much more storage and no restrictions.  I'm not about to pay $120 a year to a company that treats its customers this way simply for the convenience of using its service.  So long, Dropbox.

no, more likely 'the dropbox' does not like my username being 'ih8dropbox' for 'obvious' reasons. my comment was pure sarcasm.

March 2019 device limit policy

I just received the new limiting 3-device policy from DB. Does this apply to my own devices, or does it mean that folders may only be shared with two other people?

A whole scathing reply has disappeared, not sure if the poster removed it or it was removed for them.
