Unauthorized charge from Dropbox

New member | Level 2

Hi, Dropbox has posted an unauthorized transaction on my credit card. I tried to see the email of the account that the charge relates to, and used self-serve lookup tool, but it is not showing any info even after providing last 4 digits of credit card and expiration date. Could you please help me to get my money back ?

Dropbox is trying to bill me $450 for a business account I neither need nor have authorized.  Then you make it impossible to contact anyone on your end to set the record straight.  I have emailed Dropbox to this effect.  No response or result.  So I have contacted my credit card and refused to pay the Dropbox charge.  I agreed to cancel that card -- which is apparently the only way to get you off my back.  Which is a BIG bother!  I HATE ,companies like you.

Hi there @weblithgow, apologies for the tardy reply and I’m sorry to hear that you’re such an experience with this.

Initially, I wanted to mention that, in general, your subscription renews automatically, unless cancelled. If you don’t want it to renew, you can follow the instructions outlined in this article for more relevant steps.

Additionally, since you mention that you’re on a Dropbox Business plan, if you’re an admin, you can contact live support through the admin console. You can find more relevant info on this here

Nonetheless, as I’d like to assist you and have a more in-depth look on this, I’ve sent you a ticket to the email address associated with your Community profile. Please check your inbox for my latest message and I’ll make sure to get back to you as soon as possible.

Thanks in advance!
