They're two completely different companies providing different services. You can't compare one to the other.

I think the better question is... what are you trying to accomplish?

Answer that and it will be easier to determine the type of service you need.

I have not heard of rackspace, but Dropbox would probably be StaaS, since it is a cloud storage service.
