Hi @KobusMe, let's jump right into this!

Is it possible that you're signing into a different Dropbox account, that you just created and that's why you don't see any of your content there?

When you visit the same account online, do you see your folders and files?

Also, does the app's syncing status show "up to date" for your content?

Let me know more, and we'll take it from there!

Hello Megan,

Thank you for trying to help me but now I have done something stupid I think.

I deleted my Dropbox folder and read afterwards on the site that I schoulnot have done that 😞

I then installed Dropbox again about 10 times but I think that Dropbox doesnot want to work with me after over 15 years of loyal service.

Dropbox doesnot connect with my desktop anymore

No connection: starting ......No connection: starting ......

It says: Starting .........

and after a while

Desktop is offline ..... and it is NOT offline!!

On the site I all my files, connection  to my phone (but not my desktop).

On my phone I also can see and do everything

Cancelled my virusscanner on my desktop.

So I don't know anymore.

Help !!!!

Greetings Kobus

Hi @KobusMe, since you mentioned that you've already disabled your antivirus, can you also temporarily disable any firewalls you may have running on your computer and try again?

Feel free to also have a look at what my colleague, Walter had suggested in this thread.

Hey @KobusMe, can you let us know if you can access your files through our website, as normal?

Thanks for the update here.

I'd like you to also check the following things:

If you have an antivirus and/or firewall running, make sure you do the following:
- Allow "Dropbox" (or "Dropbox.exe") to access ports 80 (HTTP) and 443 (HTTPS).
- Add dropbox.com to the list of approved sites (white list) and make sure it is not on a black list.
- In general, you need to allow *.dropbox.com and *.getdropbox.com to access all the hosts in our domain, since our IPs are constantly changing you need to approve/unblock by domain.
- Some antivirus have special features that scan SSL traffic, please review your vendor's documentation and make sure you exclude Dropbox from the list.
- Some firewalls also act as proxies for your computer, so you might need to add them in the proxies Preferences panel to correctly connect.

Let us know if this helps.

I have disconnected my antivirus/firewall software and all windows security and still Dropbox doesnot word.

It still states: "no internetconnection ... Your pc is currently offline. Check your network configuration"

But my internet connection works like it should.

In the Dropbox website works everything perfectly but in the "connected appliances" it only states my Phone (not my desktop)

Thanks for the additional information @KobusMe

Could you try reinstalling the desktop app and let us know if you're still unable to link your account through the app's preferences?
