Dropbox Root Folder Name

barrondunn

I have signed up for a Dropbox Business account for our company.  We have previously been using a personal version and I want to move our files to the Business account for the multiple user functionality.

The problem I am having is that the personal version would allow us to have the root Dropbox folder named D:\Dropbox.  The business account will only let me name the root Dropbox folder D:\CompanyName Dropbox.

The CAD software that we use has many custom settings and drawing and image references that are pathed to folders under the D:\Dropbox folder.  Is there any way to make the root folder D:\Dropbox so I don't have to re-do all of our settings?

Hey @barrondunn - thanks for using Dropbox and welcome to our Community!

I'm afraid there's no way to do this as long as you're part of a Dropbox for Business Teams account.

For more context and information on this, you can have a look here.

I hope this clears things up a tad.
