Dropbox stop syncing my files and I downloaded the normaller installer but that did not start after I double clicked it.

I then downloaded the offline installer but that does not start either. I even run it in admin mode and deactivated my antivirus as well.

I followed the advanced setup that was refered to in another thread and delete the entry from the registery.

But the install does not start. I can see it for a few seconds in the task manager but then it just disappears.

It still work on my laptop so I dont think its my account.

At the moment I dont know what else to do. I am on a Windows 10 Home

Hi @rtenny, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Could you try the advanced reinstall of the app again using the steps in this link, just to be certain, since this is the best method of getting the app to run?

This will help me to assist further!

Thanks very much for your help.

I was now able to reinstall dropbox

Hello,

I have followed the instructions for the advanced reinstall, and installed DB using the Offline installer (because the normal installer failed), but I am still stuck. Dropbox 196.4.6900 is attempting to connect (forever) with just a gray icon in the tray.

Any help is appreciated.

Hey @geo108, welcome to our Community!

Do you have any proxy, VPN, firewall, security software, or even ISP/router settings that could be restricting traffic to the following Dropbox domains?

Are you able to connect to Dropbox using another network connection? If not, feel free to send me a screenshot of the Dropbox icon in the system tray, in order for me to have a visual too.

I'll be waiting for your update!
