Apps and Installations
Have a question about a Dropbox app or installation? Reach out to the Dropbox Community and get solutions, help, and advice from members.
I am running Windows 11 Pro on Parallels Desktop 18 on my new MacBook Pro with Apple M2 Pro chip.
However I cannot install the Dropbox app, but I can only use the app for S mode, which is not great at all.
Can someone please help me finding a viable solution?
Thank you!
Hey @dodomolinari, thanks for reaching out to us today.
A virtual machine isn't really a supported environment for the Dropbox application, but let's see what we can find out about this.
Are you receiving some kind of error message or pop-up, when you try to install the Dropbox client?
If you could send us a screenshot of what you see, it would be really helpful.
Any additional info on the situation, would also help a lot.
Thanks!

The only way I found to synchronise with Dropbox is to save the files directly into the Mac folder which is shared with Dropbox and use the Dropbox app on the Mac.
For anyone interested, it seems like Dropbox doesn't work on a virtual machine if you have the new Apple processor.
