When I was uploading my photos onto my computer (2013 MacBook Pro) from my compact flash card I got a message "back up to dropbox" after 15 photos had uploaded. I choose cancel and the upload stopped and the entire 500+ photos were erased off my flashdrive.
Hey @Bettyrosethomps, thanks for posting to our Community.
I'm sorry to hear that your photos were deleted.
However, Dropbox doesn't really have the ability to delete files from your external drives, flash drives, flash cards etc., by itself.
Do you remember clicking on anything that might have caused this?
Also, were you uploading these photos to a specific app or just copying them to your computer?
Keep me posted.

Hey @Bettyrosethomps, sorry to jump in here, but can you clarify if you're able to find any sign of your missing files in your deleted files page or the events page?
If not, then they never made it to our servers in the first place. How exactly were you downloading those files to your computer?
