Dropbox extension on Mac

Dropbox extension on Mac

I reinstalled Mac OS (Mojave) and during setup of Dropbox it wants me to activate the Accessibility extension. I check it but Dropbox does not recognize that it is checked and tries to save all the files to my HD. How can I get the program to recognize the extension is checked? tried it many times, even deleted it. Shows as checked but is not recognized.

Hey @mrfishbug, sorry to hear about this.

Did you reboot your computer since you first noticed this?

Could you try re-installing the desktop app and let me know if this persists?

Just make sure to use admin privileges on the computer upon the process.

Let me know how it goes.

Yes I have reinstalled and rebooted several times, always with the same result. I am installing on a personal computer. When I run the installer I do not have an option as to how to install so I assume I am doing it as an administrator. When I click the Dropbox installer message to go to preferences tyo turn the extension on, I find it is already checked. I uncheck and recheck, no change. The program still does not see the check as active and it starts to install all my files on the hard drive.

Hi @mrfishbug, what is the app's syncing status while we speak? Is this your first installation on the device?

Also, which version of the app do you use on your end? If you have any screenshots, feel free to share them here.
