Dropbox failed to sync

The usual work arounds have not helped

So I tried to uninstall Dropbox and it has failed too.

I am on Windows 11 Pro (since Feb) and a reasonably new PC (Dec 2021)

Thank you

Hello

The issue is Dropbox will not uninstall - it very quickly gets to 75% and then the 'uninstall failed' message appears.

The list of work arounds you have provided dont seem to match this problem.

Yes I have turned it off and walked away - even that did not work.

Hey @Planner in Trouble , thanks for the screenshot you’ve sent us!

In case you haven’t tried this already, please check these steps and let me know if they help:

  1. Open the "Task Manager" by right-clicking the taskbar and click "Start Task Manager".
  2. Click on the "Processes" tab to see if there are any other processes associated with Dropbox that may be preventing it from being removed from your device. You may need to click "Show processes from all users" to check all processes.
  3. If you see any items that refer to Dropbox, or recognize any programs that you may have linked to Dropbox, please perform the following steps for each applicable process:

  • Click on the line that references the process to select it
  • Click on "End Process”

You can then try to uninstall the Dropbox app once again from your computer.
