I have tried deleting and reinstalling, but my desktop app "crashes / unexpectedly quits" around every 30 minutes or so.
I have also started having issues with various files being corrupted on desktop only when opening in DB. Word, Excel and pdf files all telling me they cannot open, but open on Iphone or other places in same dropbox.
Macbook pro running Venture 13.0
any help / suggestions?

Hey @KendallBooking, sorry to hear about this.
Could you let me know the exact version of the Dropbox desktop app installed on your computer as shown in your menu bar?
When it comes to the second issue you described, can you clarify if this happens with files that are online only or if it's also happening with files that are available offline?

How can I tell if a file is online or offline within my dropbox?

I have the same problem, the application closes.
Error message: "Dropbox closed unexpectedly"
App version: 160.4.4703
OS: Windows 11
Hello @lesmusic23, how are you today?
The syncing icons next to your files, can tell you the state they're in @KendallBooking.
Also, could you both try to temporarily disable your antivirus, firewall or other security program and re-download the latest stable version of the application? Also, you may try to update to the latest version using the offline installer.
Again, if none of the above steps help you with this, please let me know here, so that I further look into that with you.

honestly dropbox wont stay open / stable enough for me to find files.
everything seems to be available offline (as I can access when desktop isnt active).
I have reinstalled DB numerous times since friday at suports suggesiton, with no change

I have the same issue. It started about a month or so ago, so probably an update went wrong. I had to remove the whole app from my desktop (Windows 10) to store the annoying message. Hope they fix it asap.
