Windows 7; 600 GB free HD space; 4 GB RAM; Dropbox Plus (paid one year), currently using <30 BG.
Usually, I have the Dropbox icon showing in the Notification area of my desktop, and it tells me it's up to date, but sometimes it fails to load with Windows. Right now, it’s not running, not syncing. However in Task Manager, Processes tab, Dropbox.exe *32 shows as running (seven instances with varying kilobytes in the Memory column). Opening the Dropbox directory shows several files/folders, but there aren't any that start the program. Short of restarting my computer, how do I activate the Dropbox program and get it to resume syncing?
Hey @FLYONTHEWALL, thanks for reaching out to the Dropbox Community!
Windows 7 computers are actually no longer supported, so it makes sense that the Dropbox app is not working as expected.
Having said that, let's see if we can work something out.
Have you tried reinstalling the Dropbox app, to see if the Dropbox icon returns to your system tray?
Let me know how it goes.
