Files do not sync between my two Mac computers

Files do not sync between my two Mac computers

I have Dropbox installed on two Mac computers and the DropBox icon shows up in Finder on both Macs.  For awhile it would sync between the two meaning that if I saved something to the Dropbox icon in Finder it would show up on the other Mac but for some reason it has stopped syncing between the two computers and I can't figure out how to correct the situation.  Do any of you know what when wrong and how I can fix it?  Thanks.  Greg

Hello there, @GregP, sorry to hear about your syncing issue.

 

Files in Dropbox sync from your desktop, to the web, and then to the other devices.

 

Add a file in Mac 1, then check the web if the file is there. If it is not, Mac 1 has the issue.

 

If it shows on the web, check Mac 2. If the file is not there, Mac 2 is not syncing.

 

On the Mac that is not syncing, locate the Dropbox icon close to your clock, on your menu bar.

 

Click on it, and send us a screenshot of the window that appears.

Hello Jackson.  The Dropbox icon does not appear next to the clock icon.  How do I install it?  Thanks

Hey @GregP, sorry to jump in here, but I just wanted to mention that you can install the desktop app from this page by downloading the installer and letting it run on your computer.
