Since the new "mandatory upgrade," the way "My Mac Backup" has been handling files on my Desktop has been wonky.
Before, if I saved a file to my "Desktop," (Word doc, screen shot, etc.) then the file would appear physically on my Desktop. However, since the "upgrade," any saved files only appear on my Desktop if I navigate to "Desktop" within my Finder window.
Assuming this is related, I've also noticed that my "Desktop" now appears in my root Hard Drive folder with a "shortcut" arrow, which points to the location within my "My Mac Backup" folder within my Dropbox folder.
So it seems that my Mac doesn't pull the files within "My Mac Backup >> Desktop" as being "physically present" on my Desktop view.
Anyone else experiencing this?

Hey @zachyok, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.
Can you please let me know the desktop app's exact status and version as shown in your menu bar at the moment?
When it comes to your backups, is everything looking OK on this page?
Any additional information is more than welcome!

Hey Walter,
My Dropbox Desktop version is v157.4.4808, and is running on Mac OS 12.6 (Monterey).
And my files do appear just find in that dashboard view you sent. The problem is them appearing "physically" on my "Desktop View." (Not within Finder).
