Going back from Windows 11 to Windows 10 without deleting my Dropbox files

Going back from Windows 11 to Windows 10 without deleting my Dropbox files

Hello.  Months ago, through an upgrade, I replaced Windows 10 with Windows 11.  However, it now turns out that my PC cannot accept the latest Windows 11 upgrade, and I need to uninstall Windows 11 and return to Windows 10.  As I understand it, this involves wiping my hard drive clean and starting over again.  If I wipe the disk and delete my entire local Dropbox, won't I delete all the files I have in the Dropbox cloud?  What about if I uninstall Dropbox before wiping?  Or do I need to back up my Dropbox?  Thank you!

If you delete the files in your Dropbox folder (or the folder itself) while the Dropbox application is running, then your files will also be deleted online. If you uninstall Dropbox first, nothing will be able to sync to your account online and you can safely delete the files.

That answers my question.  Thank you.
