As long as the folder isn't shared and its in your account its only accessible to you.

I have the same need to password protect a folder within our Dropbox account. We use dropbox as our central file storage location for a handful of employees. We all use the same login to access the main dropbox account. Some of us need access to sensitive information while blocking it from others. Is there a way to accomplish a password protected folder within our dropbox account?

Blizzard I.:

PC app, Not natively.

You must install the app on a different OS account and run as a service or task and have selectively unsynced the folders.

PHONE app, Not at all.

I have the same issue as Ben W. and Blizzard I

I  am using dropbox for Business, we also have 5 users and I have created folders for each user with password protect though Dropbox.com, but on our desktop computers each user is able to open the "desktop" Dropbox file folders without these passwords that I secured them with online at Dropbox.com...

I need to have folders within our group that only each user can access, by password protection, where they can keep sensitive information and incomplete projects that they do not want others accidentally modifying.

Pease advise if you have a way, thank you

Yes Ross.

Dropbox simply isnt intended to be used as you are using it - every employee who has access to your account is technically classed as an owner. So, they could permanently delete everything/change the email on the account etc. and you'd have no come back at all.
