This recording should illustrate the issue pretty well: https://gyazo.com/4aa821ca45b2cc1359432fc5f6c0f8c0
Hi @mike406,
Welcome to our community.
The normal behavior should be as following:
a) 1 click ---> Opens menu
b) 2 clicks -> Open Dropbox folder.
What is being displayed on the video though, seems like an unusual behavior. Can you please try re-installing the app and see if the issue persists?
Thanks in advance.

Seems to be working fine for me. I'd reinstall the Dropbox client, as Vernon suggested.

Issue does persist - I have a very fast PC, I believe it's loading the little window before I'm able to fire off the second click. Slower computers will not run into this timing issue. The solution for this would be for the developers to program the small Dropbox window to open relative to where the icon is located rather than an absolute position. This way it won't cover the cursor when trying to double click the icon.
Bump - This needs to be forwarded to Dropbox development team
