Apps and Installations

I uninstalled my dropbox and downloaded the dropbox installer.
But after executing it, it says it can't connect to the internet.
I don't understand because my internet connection works (I'm writing from this machine right now).
And also dropbox was connecting correctly before I uninstall.
2 things that I tried:
- disabling the Windows firewall, it still can't connect
- executing the installer in administrator mode, still can't connect

Something on your computer (or network) is blocking it from connecting. Some antivirus packages have been known to cause this. Temporarily disable any firewall and antivirus that you're running, and try the installer again. Be sure to check your router for anything that could be blocking it as well.
I don't have anything particular, no antivirus except the default security options of Windows 10.
Also, as mentioned, Dropbox was working fine just before I uninstall and attempt to reinstall.
And this is the same connection I use.
Sorry but this does not help :'(
So I managed to find the full install link here:
https://www.dropbox.com/downloading?type=full
This does not fix the problem:
Also it says that Dropbox has been successfully updated:

Thank you for your idea Hannah!
Yes, that could be the problem.
It is by default on "Auto-detect" when I open the app.
But the "apply" button does not seem to respond.
Even if I change it to "no proxy", if I click on apply and leave the app and restart it, it is back in "Auto-detect" mode :'(

Thanks for your input Walter.
But by disabling my security settings, dropbox does not get better.
I also followed the steps mentionned about the advanced uninstall before installing, so I'm afraid this solution does not work for me.
