I had no problems with Dropbox running macOS Sierra until I was prompted to install a new version of Dropbox that started syncing files. The number of remaining files has not changed since then.

Yes same issue, was working fine......soon after the update, it all went to crap. Processor usage went through the roof, Dropbox folders lost their icons and replaced with generic icons, files indexing but never-ever sync or complete. Keep getting asked to allow Dropbox priveledges to modify the Dropbox folder.... i give it permission and it asks again, and again, and again.....

 

Top quality update Dropbox HQ.... Had the work experience kid working on this update?

 

What a disaster.

 

I have to kill the Dropbox process in Activity Monitor so my fans dont wear out or break as they go absolutely crazy every time i launch Dropbox. I'm paying for this?????

 

There is nothing else installed or running on this mac, just Dropbox. It's not a software conflict, it's not user error - the Dropbox update is badly written... and not tested!

 

This could kill the dropbox brand.
