Hey @tatprod1919, sorry to hear about this.
Could you try the offline installer of our latest version of the desktop app found on this page and let me know if the issue persists?
Thanks so much!

Hey @tatprod1919, sorry to see you're having trouble.
Are you seeing the same prompt when trying to login to your account through our website as well?

No; only when I try using the linux app. It actually seemed to work a few days ago, but I just tried again on a different computer and I started getting the Authenticator message again.
Hi @tatprod1919, two-step verification isn't enabled by default, as you'd need to opt-in to that feature.
Are you using any proxy, VPN, firewall, security software, or even ISP/router settings that could be restricting or changing traffic to the following Dropbox domains?

I dont believe so, no. I even tried on a completely different machine that isn't hooked up to my router (uses mobile hotspot data) and had the same issue. Not using any vpns or anything like that.
Hi @tatprod1919, sorry to jump in here!
Are you positive that you're logged into the account online, when you see this message?
Also, I noticed in your initial screenshot that there's a message that reads: " if you didn't request this, please close this tab". Does it re-direct you on the web automatically, and if it does, what happens when you close the tab?

Hello ma'am. No, I'm not logged in beforehand; logging in is what's causing the problem since I'm trying to do it w/ the linux app. I'm actually trying to log on using the linux app to sync with my pc and that's the message it gives me (about using the authenticator code) when I try logging in; no matter what machine or network I use. I've also tried a couple different usernames and they do the same thing. As far as closing the tab, no it doesn't redirect me to anything. If I close the browser tab, it just closes.
