Behavior: Dropbox starts, logs in and start synchronizing. 10-20 seconds in, it crashes and a dialog comes up "Dropbox unexpectedly quit", which allows me to click it away or restart Dropbox (which then results in a crash again). So Dropbox does not run/work anymore.
Environment: Apple MacBook Pro, Apple Silicon M1
I saw this crash behavior first with the beta 156.3.4894, then moved back to using stable 155.4.5495 where everything was working fine.
Now with stable 156.4.4908 apparently the crash bug has been brought over from beta and is not fixed.
Are there any tricks, configuration or a workaround available? I am backing up several drives and my main data to Dropbox, so working from the web or via browser online is a no-go.
Hey @friendly_w, welcome to our Community!
Do you use selective sync for your content on the app? Keep in mind that if your app is syncing more than the soft limit of 300K files, that could be the culprit there.
Also, when did this start happening?
Let me know more!

The crash behavior started with beta 156.3.4894.
The last stable to work fine was 155.4.5495.
Selective sync is being used as well as the backup function (for whole drives).
I also have this problem. Was told to reinstall with no help. I'm now also on 165.4.4908. MacBook Pro M1 Monterey 12.5.1 (21G83)
Hey guys, I hope you're doing well!
If you're still facing this issue, would it be okay for me to reach out via email, in order for us to have a closer look into this?

Fine with me, please reach out via email.
Dropbox 157.3.4738 (current beta) is currently working for me, so likely has a fix for this!
Hi @friendly_w, I just sent you an email.

This is happening on three of our computers currently. We have uninstalled/reinstalled with no luck. The "unexpectedly quit" message started popping up immediately after the update. Any luck with this anyone?
