Moving dropbox from top toolbar on Windows 11

hi, im trying to move my dropbox which has embroidery files in it, so i can open with my software, its currently in the top toolbar, i have searched help, but it says go to settings, settings is not showing when i click my avatar , can someone advise please, im using windows 11?

Can you clarify what exactly you'd like to accomplish so that we can assist further? Are you referring to a shortcut on your computer that points to your Dropbox folder perhaps?

If you'd like to move your Dropbox folder, you should be using these steps. 

Let me know if that's not what you had in mind.

yes i want to move it from the top toolbar but when i follow the steps as in the link above, (says click on your avatar and go to desktop preferences) thats what i cant see?

Hi @123deb, could you clarify exactly what you mean by 'top toolbar'? Are you referring to the menu bar on your machine?

no the top boxes on my laptop, (the short cuts),i have a new laptop and on my old one the dropbox was on the side where all my folders are so i could access  from the embroidery software, now its at the top and i cannot move it

Hey @123deb, I hope you don’t mind me jumping in, as well. 

I understand that your Dropbox folder was previously located in the sidebar of your File Explorer on your old computer.

However, can you send me a screenshot of what you see now, so that I can have a visual and better assist? 

You can attach a screenshot here by clicking on the small camera icon that should be showing above your message box on the forum.

This is a shortcut to the Dropbox site in your browser. Try right clicking the link and choose delete from the list of options there.

That's just a bookmark (i.e. a shortcut) to the Dropbox website in your browser. Have you installed the Dropbox application on your computer yet? If not, you won't be able to access the Dropbox folder within other applications on your computer.

iv done this, now i open my embroidery software to open a design from my dropbox, but cannot find dropbox , this is the problem i have?
