New PC, already have Previous Dropbox Data but now need to relink the app

Hi everyone

I built a new PC and upgraded to windows 11.

My previous Dropbox installation had its own SSD drive (D:Dropbox), which I have already moved to the new PC

What's the proper process to reinstall dropbox on the new machine and reconnect/relink my dropbox app to the drive D (which already has the previous data in place).    I know it will take time to resync, that's okay.  I just dont want to risk losing data or getting duplicates etc.

Hi @Bryan F.6, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

This can be done by amending the Advanced settings at the end of the installation process, before quitting the installer.

In this article, the Windows section (Step 11 specifically) contains the details you need to ensure it finds the same Dropbox folder with all the data.

If you need any further assistance, please let me know!
