No repository for Fedora 36.

No repository for Fedora 36.

I've just updated to Fedora 36 (from 35) and noticed there are no Dropbox repos for that release.

https://linux.dropbox.com/fedora/

Any idea when this will be updated?

Thanks.

And thanks for the nudge on this.

And I will also pass your comments to our team.

Hi @cb m.,

Since Dropbox repository updates lag in time and repository file always point current version (don't ask me why🤷), such strange situations happen regularly. Taking in mind that all available versions are actually the same version (just some links pointing to the same place), you can replace the "$releasever" marker (in the repository file) to some existing valid marker (35, for example). In such a way your issue will gone and will no more depends on how fast Dropbox support reacts (now and in the future). 😉

Hope this helps.

Similar to the suggestion by  Здравко I would create a new file

sudo touch /etc/yum.repos.d/dropbox35.repo

and insert the following text:

[DropboxFedora35]
name=Dropbox Repository Fedora35
baseurl=http://linux.dropbox.com/fedora/35/
gpgkey=https://linux.dropbox.com/fedora/rpm-public-key.asc

and I would disable the old one `Dropbox` (in dnfdragora) or `Dropbox Repisotry` (in gnome-software)

FYI, I finally go around to doing this.  I was hoping a fix would be out sooner but got tired of seeing the error message.  🙂

Thanks again.

So, here we are in mid-July and still no update for the 36 repositories?   When may we expect this to be corrected?

Dropbox-Package didn't update since Fedrora 21 (relased 2014): https://www.dropbox.com/de/install-linux
I think every later repo ships the same package, therfore you can fix it on your PC: https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Dropbox-installs-integrations/No-repository-for-Fedora-36/m-p/597532...
