S_L_O_W startup since latest update (171.3.6099)

Don't turn PC off much but when I do, Dropbox is taking forever to start.  No files have changed or anything (and there's only about 450-500 total . . . so it's not the issue of having too many files).  I'll be off doing something else and then tray icon appears after about 15 minutes.  No idea what it's doing.  I even did full product uninstall / re-install from scratch earlier today & still have same problem.

Any ideas what could be glitching?

I use Avira Security's free version, currently rev 1.1.85.4.

Temporarily disable it and see if there's any difference in the startup time for Dropbox.

Hi @Vol4Ever, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Do you have any antivirus or security software that could be slowing down the startup of the Dropbox desktop application?

The same could apply to any app which monitors files or folders on your machine.

This will help me to assist further!

Thanks guys.  I have no idea why there would be a Dropbox/AV conflict as I also have OneDrive that works fine.  But adding the Dropbox folder to Avira's exclude list sure enough fixed it!  Appreciate the assistance.
