Send With Transfer does not work on mac (Couldn't add some files)

MacOS Catalina (latest version) & Big Sur 11.3.1 (latest version)
Dropbox v122,4,4864
Place a file on the desktop right click and choose "Send With Transfer" will fail.

We seen this issue across several Macs
Rebooting ,repair permissions / Hard links , deleting .dropbox.cache does not work

Hey @aandersendk, thanks for reaching out!

Can you hover your mouse over the Dropbox icon in your menu bar, to see the current sync status of the app?

Also, are you having this issue with specific files only, or all of them?

Hi,

If I hover the mouse over the DP Icon, it shows (as expected) that DP is running.
As I mentioned rebooting the Mac does not help - i've tested it on a different mac laptop
at a other (home)network to rule out any network/firewall policy causing this - same issue.

It happens with all files - the work-a-round is to move the file inside the Dropbox folder
and then transfer it - this works.

Its most likely a Dropbox Bug - since its , we have seen this on +10 mac's running different OS versions

A quick update.

Tried to quite Dropbox

Delete .dropbox folder
Start Dropbox  and linking only my private DP account - the error is still present.
in the Console  (Dropbox log)I see lots of errors  :

Is it possible that you're having disk space issues that could be causing this? 

How much free space do you have on your hard drive?

We have plenty (+100GB) of free disk space and as I mentioned we have this issue on several macs.

Just as a followup , tried to install the latest beta build (112.3.293) - the issue is

still present..

Hi @aandersendk, it looks like you’re running the beta version of the Dropbox desktop application.

To install our latest stable version, visit this page and switch ‘Early releases’ to Off, and then re-download the app from here.

Afterwards, let me know how the Transfer feature works.

This was back last May. Has this been fixed? I have the same problem

It happens when the file is Online-Only and it is larger than 2GB. Dropbox can't recognize the file size when it is Online-Only.
