Apps and Installations

Directories that are symlinks to directories dropbox controls get overlay icons. So dropbox knows about them. However, we don't get the context menu. This is a bug.
This is important because the dropbox business installer creates symlinks when renaming directories during the initial install. And yet these symlink directories don't work properly. For example, if I had c:\dropbox then after user John joins a business organization I will have c:\My Business Dropbox (it's not very professional to create a directory name with a space in it but we'll save that for another day) as well as c:\dropbox which is a symlink to c:\My Business Dropbox\John's Dropbox (again, not very professional to create yet another directory name with a space in it). c:\dropbox will be syncing and have icon overlays -- but no context menu,
Of course this whole thing is only relevant because dropbox won't ever give us the option to rename our business dropbox directories. If dropbox would allow this then we could self-service some workarounds.
Don't bother to write about windows versions, uninstalling, reinstalling, or editing the registry. It has nothing to do with this.
