Trying to set up Dropbox on a new Mac

Trying to set up Dropbox on a new Mac

Hi, I have a Dropbox business account, and I'm trying to set up Dropbox on a new Mac, but I'm stuck on a setup screen that asks me a question I don't understand. The screen says both my folders DESKTOP and DOCUMENTS need to be "moved back to its default location" before I "try again." I have no idea what that means or how I'd do it. Those folders are where they've always been. I don't understand what their "default location" is.  Help?

Hey @toddbosspoet, thanks for reaching out to us today!

This seems like the setup window for our backup feature

With the Dropbox application, you can set your desktop folders to be moved and backed up to Dropbox, if you want.

It sounds like perhaps your Desktop and Documents folders are currently not in their default location, so the message indicates that they can't be backed up.

Do you want to back them up, though? If not, I'd suggest you just uncheck the folders or skip this step.

Let me know how it goes.
