Uninstall dropbox WITHOUT losing files

How do i uninstall Dropbox without losing all my files? How do i get my files back onto my PC?

Hi @srfpak, let me see what we can do about this! 

You should be able to uninstall the Dropbox desktop application using these steps. 

As for your PC files, it sounds like you've enabled our Computer Backup feature. 

Here is how you can disable it.

Thank you for your response. However, it only gave me instructions on how to uninstall the Dropbox program. There were no instructs on how to recover and convert back all my computer files back the way they were before installing this "take-over" program. Everything i read says if i uninstall Dropbox all my files will be permanently be lost. I just can't lose these. 

Please tell me how to save my files before i delete Dropbox.         Thank you.
