Why does it take 3 x double click to start the desktop app on my Windows computer?

I have DropBox on my W10 PC

I removed it from auto-satrt on boot up as I don't want apps grabbing resources when I don't need them.

However when I go to open Drop Box ... I double click desk top icon .... get busy icon, then after a while it stops ..... have to repeat 3 times before it opens the DropBox window.

Is this a fault ?

If  I click for example on Google drive or office 365 and it opens without repeated clicking.

Twice I can understand and would be expected.

When Dropbox isn't running, the first time you click the icon it will start the application which sits in your system tray. It does not open the window. It just starts the program responsible for syncing. Then when Dropbox is running, clicking the icon again (or double-clicking the icon in the system tray) will open the Dropbox folder. A single-click of the icon in the system tray opens the Dropbox menu.
