Why does the Paper app use 1.64GB on my iPhone? Can I reduce the amount of space it's allowed?

Hi there good people,

I love the Paper app! However, I am much less thrilled by how much space it takes up on my iPhone.

Currently, the iOs Paper App is using 1.64GB of precious space and I'm wondering:

1. What is the purpose of using this significant amount of space? I'm confused because I thought Paper docs are stored on the cloud and not my device -- but this makes me think otherwise.
2. How can I reduce the amount of space Paper is currently using on my iPhone?
3. Can I change the amount of space Paper is allowed to take up on my phone to make sure in the future it doesn't do this again?

Which version of the Paper app, is currently installed to your device? Also, do you have a plethora of Paper docs in your account?
