Hi There,
My Windows Explorer freezes when I try open a document or map of my dropbox folder. It's happening on all my devices (laptop, pc) and I have reinstalled already which didn't work out.
Any thoughts?
Best,
Steven
Hi @saintje, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Does the same behavior occur when you quit the Dropbox desktop application and try opening a file via Explorer?
This will help me to assist further!

HI STEVEN, Do you use the last version of dropbox? this maybe could happen if you use old version
I have this same issue. Explorer freezes, started some weeks ago. Everytime I try to access a file, only in the Dropbox folders. Explorer works normal in non dropbox folders. I have tried uninstall, reinstall. Advanced uninstall which included deleting pretty much every dropbox reference in the registry, making files local... everything I can think of. Making dropbox pretty much unusable.
Windows 11
Dropbox Version 163.4.5456
Alienware R10
Ryzen 5900
Any help would be much appreciated.
Clear Skies,
Sean
Hey @embeddedbill, sorry to see you're having this issue.
Have you tried Jay's suggestion above, to close the Dropbox app and see if you get a different behavior?
