Hello-

I  am using a Mac running Ventura. I have installed the latest version of the Dropbox app. My 'dropbox' root folder is connected to a 4T SSD.

Would someone tell me how I get the Dropbox app to remember that the Dropbox folder is on the SSD? Everytime I login or disconnect the SSD, I have to set up dropbox again, like it was new.

Thanks,

Dr. Doug

Hi @drdougphd, let's jump right into this!

Keep in mind that while you can store your Dropbox folder on an external drive, it's highly not recommended.

As for your question, you should be having the option during set-up, to click on Advanced settings and to choose where you'd like for your Dropbox folder to be.

All you'd need to do, is for you to choose the existing path of your Dropbox folder in your SSD, and allow for it to re-index any changes. Can you try this?

I hope this helps!
