I think I may have upset Dropbox. I was trying to see files on my phone - signed up for a paid trial and then realised I can't view the files on my phone after all. I cancelled the trial.
Now I find that the files on my PC are not synching - I can save files, and use normal desktop folders, but they're not visible on the web version.
I notice that dropbox is no longer in my tray, and that I do not have the synch symbols on the files in file explorer.
Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance

That would indicate that the Dropbox application isn't running. Have you tried to launch it from your Start menu?
Thanks for getting back to me. I can still access it from the start menu - it launches a File Explorer window. It doesn't give me notifications any longer though - usually it would be in the notifications on the right hand side in Windows 10. Today I went to the microsoft store and installed Dropbox for S mode (the only thing that was available, i have no idea what "S mode" is. However, in that instance, it's still not showing new files as I add them.

S mode is a version of Windows that only allows apps from the Microsoft Store. Dropbox for S Mode works like the mobile clients, allowing you to view the files in your account but it doesn't sync like the Dropbox desktop application.
If you want to reinstall the Dropbox desktop application, download it from here.
thanks for your help - i think the problem was that I was logged in on too many devices. I've reinstalled, and accepted that I have to pay the subscription, and it seems to be working now. Really appreciate your help, and the pointer to the download.
