So I upgraded. I really didnt want you to move all my files to a new location, i've been perfectly happy with my workflow up to now. But it was what it is and dropbox is now hogging my bandwidth and it's going to take about 5+ days to sync everything again. Thanks for that.
So what do these icons mean?
The file is in the cloud? Is it on my hard disk? Is it just in the cloud?
The second one 'in the cloud and you can download it'?
None of it makes sense - where's the 'syncing' icon gone - before you could tell what was syncing what isn't, what's local, what's synced.
Hi @jamesatkins, thanks for messaging the Community.
Thank you for your feedback relating to the new version of Dropbox desktop application for macOS.
As with any operating system (OS), macOS is updated regularly and with that, we must keep the Dropbox desktop app aligned with any requirements set out by an OS. Keeping aligned to those requirements ensures that the Dropbox desktop app will provide the best possible experience for all our customers for the future.
Regarding the sync icons, you can find the new Mac OS version of the icons here.
If you have any further queries, feel free to message back.

I don't get the green icon anywhere.
I do get a plain grey cloud that is not in your documentation at all.
The green icon appears when you right click a file and mark it as available offline, so that the file will download to your machine.

… Ok I have files on my computer in my dropbox folder - NONE of them have that.
I go offline and i can open them though, so they are available locally.
If I drag a file to a folder is it 'cloud' only or both local and cloud by default?
Are you dragging files from outside your Dropbox folder into the Dropbox folder, or only from and to a Dropbox folder?

…from outside.
Now i'm getting duplicates of files. (Been working today so suspect the sync wasnt completed).
This upgrade has been an absolute nightmare.
Hey @jamesatkins, sorry to jump in here, but I just wanted to mention that you should be able to see if the app is 'up to date' or still syncing by taking a look at the app's icon in your menu bar.
Can you please let us know if it's still syncing by any chance?

I lost all the nice icons in Finder too. I see the cloud when it's uploading, but I don't see the green one or the old blue one. How do I turn those on?

Hi @MikeHenderson, let's jump right into this!
What is the syncing status of the app, along with the app's version that you're using at the moment?
Also, could you send me a screenshot of your content inside your Dropbox folder, and how they look on your end?
Keep me posted!
