So I upgraded. I really didnt want you to move all my files to a new location, i've been perfectly happy with my workflow up to now. But it was what it is and dropbox is now hogging my bandwidth and it's going to take about 5+ days to sync everything again. Thanks for that.
So what do these icons mean?
The file is in the cloud? Is it on my hard disk? Is it just in the cloud?
The second one 'in the cloud and you can download it'?
None of it makes sense - where's the 'syncing' icon gone - before you could tell what was syncing what isn't, what's local, what's synced.
syncing is now up to date. I have no icons
Hey @jamesatkins, do you happen to be running any 3rd part apps that could be monitoring your Dropbox folder, like cloud or backup services or even an antivirus or other security programs?
If so, you can also have a look at this discussion.

Hi @jamesatkins & @MikeHenderson, it is going to sound trivial, but have you tried re-starting your device at all?
Also, I would like for you to locate your Dropbox icon, next to your WiFi and hover your mouse there. That should give you the version of the desktop app. Can you check, and let me know the version you're using?

me too.
Thanks for the updates @jamesatkins & @MikeHenderson - much appreciated.
Since this is not caused by 3rd party apps running on your computers, you must have had those files available to your computers, this is most likely why you're not seeing any icons on them.
A file or folder with no icon means that it has been opened either by double-clicking or through a third-party application and synced.
“Synced” means that any changes you made to this file or folder are reflected everywhere you access your files in Dropbox. While this file or folder is stored on your device, it can be made online-only by right clicking and selecting Make online-only.
Can you please let us know if you see this option when right clicking on your files?

So if they're synced, then there are no icons? Where before if they were synced, there was a blue icon? And now if they're NOT synced, there is a cloud icon?
I'm also having some weird behavior where things are going to web only automatically.
