screen flashes when clicking

screen flashes when clicking

I upgraded from basic. Now when I click an icon or link the whole screen fills and flashes/shivers for anywhere from one second to long enough that I have to turn off the computer. It seems to happen when I am using chrome (windows 11). I think I did a dropbox backup, but after trying to find to cause I am lost. There is a conflict somewhere and I can't find it. You have no idea how grateful I would be for some help with this problem.

Hi @ASF442, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Could you try switching browsers to see if this helps?

Otherwise, you can try using incognito/private browsing mode without any extensions running, clearing your cache and even resetting your browser entirely.

Keep me updated with any progress!

Hi Jay...  Thank you for your suggestions. I had the same problem when using Edge. I decided to turn off backup on my Google drive and then installed a NEW dropbox and did NOT set up backup. I tried to stop/cancel backups in my original dropbox but it wasn't clear how to do that. Now that I am not backing up anything I am not getting the flashing screen. (fingers crossed :-)) It must have been some circular reference that I was not able to locate.  One of these days I absolutely must organize my files and cancel Google drive!

Thank you so much...
