Hi @adlbrk, thanks for posting.

The Offline files tab on the Dropbox mobile app has been moved into the Account section and can be accessed from there.

If you have any further queries, feel free to message back.

Thanks, not sure why it had to be moved into a cluttered space when there's tons of space where it originally was. It's like constantly walking into your own living room and having someone rearrange the furniture at random points.

Offline Files Menu in Android

Mark C.26
New member | Level 2

I have Version 308.2.2 installed on Samsung S8 on Android 9 and Samsung A52S running Android 12. Lately i noticed that under the Home Menu I have the 'Offline' Menu on the A52 but not on the S8. I tried to uninstall and re-install it, and I do have 4 files were are marked for available offline. Anyone know what the problem could be?

Hi @Mark C.26, I hope you're doing well!

Do you use the same Dropbox version on both devices? Can you also send me a couple of screenshots of your Offline files menu from both the devices, in order for me to have a visual of what you described?

Keep me posted, and we'll take it from there!

Where's my offline sync option??

Rachel L.

Panicking! I use this all the time in my Android app to make sure everything's synced and my offline files are backed up. It used to be on the lefthand side--now it's gone! Where is it?? 😟Screenshot_20221216_060221_Dropbox.jpg

Hi @Rachel L., how are you today?

I've merged your post under this thread, where others have also expressed the same question.

Feel free to have a look at what my colleague, Jay mentioned above about the offline files being under your Account section.

If you have any questions, I am here!

Re: shortcut under home - offline files

Hello. I love the Dropbox Android app, but I really, really dislike this recent change. I use the offline files features more than anything else in the app and I had actually thought of requesting it to be moved to replace one of the four bottom icons. Specifically, I would prefer a direct link to offline files to replace the "Account" icon.

Please seriously consider this request. I don't know why the design team thought that the offline files feature is so rarely used that they instead buried it two levels down (Account | Offline). I would guess that for users who do use it like myself, it is one of the most used features (that is, used multiple times every day) and many of us would like it to be top-level.

Concerning the direct Account link that I am asking you to replace, I find it hard to imagine that most users actually use that every day, if even every week. Please put the Account link in the hamburger menu, which is where most Android users expect to find features for configuring their accounts.
