Unable to install capture error "Error in parsing the app package."
Hi there @inkwarp, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.
Can you please send us a screenshot of the exact error you're getting so that we can have a visual too?
Also, what's your device's exact OS version? Have you checked for any pending updates perhaps?
Let me know what you find!

I just went to get a screen shot and realised that my firewall was blocking the installer.
It opens now but after I hit the instal button it just disappears and doesn't seem to install anything.
So, nothing to capture...
I am on windows10.
Hi @inkwarp, have you tried rebooting your device, and then try to install Capture once again?
If not, can you give it a go?

I have tried that. A couple of times.

Thanks for letting us know @inkwarp
Could you check your device for system updates, apply them if any, reboot your computer and see if that makes a difference?
If the issue persists, you could try installing it from the Microsoft Store.
In any case, please let us know of any updates!

Hi
I have tried the microsoft store. it seems to be exactly the same installer.
I don't have any updates pending.
It's quite possible it might be caused by windows defender or one of the security components..?
When I hit the install button it just blips out and I can't find anything in the task manager that looks suspicious.
Whatever the cause it, I can't find it.
I will try on another machine but I think I will leave it off here for now
Thanks for the update, @inkwarp.
If you can, try to temporarily disable any security apps programs you might have, to see if that helps.
Hopefully that will do the trick.
Let us know if you need anything else!

Hi
]I've tried everything I can think of but to no avail.
I will have to leave it for now, I just don't have enough time to mess about with it.
Thanks for help though.
