I have a question about the member space limit. Can you help?

Is it possible to set a member space limit to 2TB?

 

As to set a custom limit, I have to first set a team limit which the maximum is only up to 1 TB:

But when I set custom limit, I am able to go higher than 1TB:

So for custom limit it follows the user's "New Space Limit" right? And how custom space limit is calculated should be the same as member space limit which is highlighted here where team folders and shared folders owned by other team members don't count towards the calculation of storage limits right?

Currently the member space limit is set to 1TB. I will make sure your comments are passed along to our development team, as we are always looking for user input when creating the next version of the Dropbox app.

@Norah Thanks for the response! But when I to set a higher custom limit, Dropbox allowed me to do so and I received a notification which said that my space limit is set to 2048GB on my Dropbox desktop icon. It is just that I haven't yet tried to put 2TB worth of data on my Dropbox account to test this out.

Yes, it is possible to set it higher than 1TB per user as you have private beta access to Stop sync.
 
That is correct as well, team folders and shared folders owned by a team member only count toward their storage limit,

Thanks @Jane and @Norah for your responses and help! It makes sense now slightly smiling face I wonder if there is a way for admins to keep track on whether we have enrolled ourselves for latest features as sometimes I would forget that I have? Because Early Access also does not show that I have enrolled in private beta access. 

 

Also if in future, I would like to enroll for other private beta access features, how would I do so?

Hey mxoh (or anyone else who may have had the same question), happy Monday! I’m just updating this thread, since this info may be useful to others in the future. 
 
In response to your initial inquiry, whenever you are setting up space, the space you select under https://www.dropbox.com/team/admin/settings/space would always take precedence over the limit set on the Member Space Limit.
 
Hopefully this brings some more clarity to other admins who may have been wondering & we’re always here for more Dropbox tips & tricks, so feel free to post away. Wishing you a pleasant & creative week ahead!
