Hi all, I have been using Dropbox for 10 years to share practise tracks with my choir. I create a link, share the link, etc. A few days ago, some of the ladies could no longer access the tracks. They are met with a pop up that says something along the lines that there has been suspicious activity in the dropbox of downloading files and the creator needs to share a new link. I shared a new link, but the same is happening. BUT the kicker is, it IS working for some people (the old link) and the new link worked for some and not others. I haven't established yet whether there is a difference between using the app or using the web. I am at a loss as to how to fix this - and bear in mind I have ladies of all ages in my choir who I need to try and help! Any advise would be gratefully received, thank you.
Hi there @amysap, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.
Can you please send us a screenshot of the exact errors they're getting so that we can have a visual too?
If they're using a web browser to access your shared links, have they tried clearing the browser's cache or another browser?
Keep us posted!

Hi! Thanks for your reply. This is what they are getting. I know that someone reported back she had cleared then cache and it made no difference. Sadly!
Hi @Walter did you see my reply!
Hey @amysap, sorry to jump in here.
Are you still having this issue?
And are you having this issue when sharing links to any kind of file? Or just these ones you use for your choir?

Hi Hannah, I share another link to the youth theatre I work with and no reports of any trouble there. (yet). My son can still access it from his phone.
So yes, at present it seems to just be the choir folder. I am wondering if I have been hacked?? Because no one has been downloading loads of files!
Thanks for getting back to me, Amy.
I'm sure you have not been hacked, however, you need to keep in mind certain things when it comes to sharing links.
You can see more info about this here. Are any of the reasons for a ban possibly true for this specific folder?
