I want to share a document and I receive the message: "Access to this link has been disabled". What is the problem and how do I resolve it?

Where are you receiving that message? What, exactly, are you doing when it appears?

I was trying to share a document with someone when I received the message (and I tried over and over again).

Make sure you're following this process for linking to a file.

I am following this process (https://www.dropbox.com/help/167) for linking to a file - but I keep getting the error message.

I''m having the same problem. Message shows up when using the "share" button, after filling in the email address and hitting "send".
