Adding a shared file failed with an error message

someone shared a file with me but when I click the 'Add to Dropbox' button I get a screen with an unhappy dog and the caption, 'That didnt work for some reason'.  On a MS desktop.  Can anyone help please?

Hi @Jim0060, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

 

Just to clarify, is this a shared file, or a shared folder that you were invited to?

 

Could you try switching browsers to see if this helps? Otherwise, you can try using incognito/private browsing mode without any extensions running, clearing your cache and even resetting your browser entirely.

Hi Jay.  Thanks for prompt response.  it is an invitation to edit a folder.  I'm using Chrome as my browser so I'll try your suggestions and let you know.  Jim

I tried Edge and got the same result.  I'll try and make time later to try the other stuff too
