Create, upload, and share

Hello,
I'm trying to upload a file to my Dropbox account. When I try, it first fails outright with the message "There was an error uploading a file." If I retry, then it puts the upload into a queue, but then gets stuck there. The file is less than 1 MB, so size doesn't seem to be the issue.
I had this problem before trying to upload to a folder that was being shared with me, and when I instead tried to upload to a folder that I had created, it worked. So I figured that was the issue, but when I tried to create my own folder and upload this time, that still didn't work. I even went back to the previous folder that had worked, and it didn't work this time.
I've tried various fixes, including logging in and out of Dropbox, renaming the file to be uploaded, copying another file already in Dropbox and attempting to edit the copy (it opens up but the content is garbled), and creating a new file so I could copy and paste into it (it just goes to a blank page and doesn't finish creating the document). My internet connection seems to be fine.
Has anyone else encountered this issue? Could it be some kind of security setting on my desktop preventing the upload? That's the only other thing I can think of.
Hi Walter,
I just heard back from our IT support, and Dropbox is in fact blocked for us. Thanks for looking into this, this ticket can be closed.

Hey @dragonbrian, sorry to hear you're having issues with this..
Could you please clear your browser's cache or try another browser or an incognito window with no plugins or extensions running and let us know how it goes?
If you still get the same error, I'd appreciate a screenshot too.
Thanks!
Walter

Hi Walter,
Thanks for getting back to me. I normally use Chrome, so I tried Edge and also incognito Chrome, but I got the same result in both cases. And this is weird, but I tried to upload screen shots for this post, but that didn't work either. I'm starting to think that I must have some kind of security on my laptop that is blocking browser uploads in general, either for files, or screen shots, or whatever.
Brian

Sorry, I just remembered, this isn't a ticket but a discussion thread. I'll accept your answer.
No worries @dragonbrian - I'm just glad to hear you sorted out in the end and thanks for keeping me in the loop too.
See you around the Community and take care!
