Can't upload to "backups" from a different device anymore?

Can't upload to "backups" from a different device anymore?

I've been using Dropbox for years and automatically back up two different machines. Occasionally, I want to upload a file from one machine to the backup location of another so that when that machine syncs up later, the new file will be on that machine. It seems with the new "backups have a new home" feature, I cannot upload a file to a "backup" individually. That's ridiculous!

This is a SERIOUS usability loss. How do I disable this new "feature"?

Hi @Digitalmp, thanks for messaging the Community.

After the change to the Dropbox Backup feature last year, it is no longer possible to add, edit or delete files directly to a backup via the Dropbox site.

It isn't possible to revert to the older version of the Backup feature.

We appreciate your feedback on this matter and take all comments seriously when looking to improve our services.
