Dropbox not working. Info is not readable or syncing to other devices

Dropbox has worked fine for years and I have not changed anything.  I use 3 devices so information changed on one is changed on the others.  This stopped happening.  What I input on one device does not change on the other devices.  What should I do?

I see many devices on my account. How do I know which of these devices are valid? For example, there are several iphones. How do I know which one is my current iphone? The only iphone with recent

Hi @dougt1, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

 

You can view your connected devices from this page. It will show the last time the device accessed your account, if it is still linked. Once unlinked, it would be deleted from that page.

 

If files aren't syncing from one device to another, then it could mean that the app isn't running, or another issue is preventing syncing. If you could provide more information, such as which device isn't getting updates, with would help me out.

 

Keep me updated with any details.

I input info to DESKTOP-24KAUHB and it is not updating either iphone or DESKTOP-EI4EOTI

Is the Dropbox desktop application installed on 24KAUHB, and is it running normally? 

 

If you see the icon in the system tray, click it and tell what it says on the bottom left.

Dropbox has worked fine for many years on 24KAUHB.

 

I am unfamiliar with these kind of things.  What screen should I go to find a system tray?

Hey @dougt1, sorry to jump in, but I just wanted to mention that if the desktop app is running normally on your computer, you should be seeing  a little Dropbox icon in your system tray.

 

Can you take a look and let us know what you find?

I don't know what a System Tray is or what screen I need to go to find it.

Hi @dougt1 sorry to jump in here! 

 

The system tray is a section of the taskbars in the Microsoft Windows operating system (OS) user interface that provides easy access icons to the user's most commonly used apps and displays the clock. 

 

It's the area that your date & time, and WiFi icon exist, and you should be seeing a little Dropbox icon there. If you hover your mouse over it, that should give you the app's syncing status, and version of the app.
