How to merge two duplicate PC backups?

How to merge two duplicate PC backups?

I've been using Dropbox for over 10 years and I've always managed to keep the name of each new upgraded PC the same.

I've backed up this PC in Dropbox.  Recently, I reinstalled Windows 11 on my current PC to resolve an issue.

However, I forgot to change the name of the PC to match the backed up PC, unfortunately. 😭

Problem: Dropbox has backed up approximately 50% up my PC under the new "default" name.  My account is now full due to the presence of the backup of my "old" PC (same physical device).  Considering these two PCs are actually the same device, is there a way to simply merge the two backups?  If not, how do I delete the backup of the "old" PC so Dropbox can resume backing up my current PC (which is the same physical device)?

There's no way to merge two backups. You should be able to delete the old one from your Backups page.
