FYI you could also download a Firefox add-on that emulates IE or Chrome.. 😃 Haven't searched a lot yet, but various add-ons exist. When you go to dropbox, you should then click on that extension to have a IE compatible view, perhaps that will do the trick?
Hi people
In order to see "Open with" in Firefox, you must have installed Adobe Flash Player on your computer and enabled it in Firefox.
Here are the steps :
1. Download and install Adobe Flash player from this page :
https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer
Be carefull to uncheck others unwanted offers, we just want Adobe Flash. when its installed on your computer, close and restart Firefox.
2. Go to the addons page, type "about:addons" in the url bar and hit enter, just like this :
In the list, look for Shockwave Flash and Select Always Activate.
Done ! you are now able to open your files directly on Dropbox with four favorite Browser 🙂
THANK YOU!!! This works! (One small modification: you can also use firefox's preferences to only allow flash to always run on dropbox.com, rather than the internet at large -- this is a good option if you don't want the security risks of always having flash on.)
Thanks again!
Hi zanderman2010,
I am glad it worked, also thank you about the additionnal information
Have nice day 🙂
This does not seem to work any more as always activate option is not present. How does one get the Open With button on Firefox now?
Hi @s_ano, thanks for posting.
This appears to be a setting in Firefox that can’t be disabled. There isn’t anything we can suggest currently other than manually enabling Flash each time it is needed.
I’m sorry we can't be more helpful on this matter.

Thanks for the reply. Sorry I am not quite familiar with how to enable flash when I want to use it in the current version of Firefox.
While we can’t help troubleshoot this directly, there are articles on the Firefox site which might help out.
