Help - I have editing rights but when I download the Word document from DropBox it says I don't have editing rights

Hi @joemac555 

 

How are you downloading it? Are you downloading it and saving it to your computer via the website? 

 

If so thats correct - the computer will almost certainly create it as a read only file as its an internet download. If you did it this way you need to download it, edit it, save it and reupload it. 

 

As its an edit file you should either edit on the Dropbox website, or, in the Dropbox folder on your machine instead - that way you dont need to then reupload it.
